The Fashion Journo – An Australian lifestyle blog focusing on what’s in fashion all-round
I started blogging in 2007, or perhaps it was 2008? But anyway, I began my blogging days chatting about all kinds of things. Fashion, food, life. I flew from WordPress to Blogger and back again, changing the name of my blog, deleting it all together, quitting blogging and starting up again.
I believe blogging is a great outlet, even if it isn’t too personal. It’s creative and a way to connect with all the people out there, no matter where they’re from or what they’re interested in.
So in 2011 I decided I wanted to become more serious about blogging. I decided I wanted to focus on fashion and therefore named my blog The Fashion Journo. In 2012 I decided I wanted to take it further, I wanted to blog about more than just fashion and I wanted to do it like a journalist AND I wanted to give the blog a facelift. So I decided to attempt writing without bias to my own opinions and cover more of what’s happening in the world out there, rather than my world.
In 2013 I’ve gone down a different path. I have decided I want TFJ to be a little more creative, funner and full of all kinds of things, my own life included. TFJ is no longer just about clothes and shoes and jewellery. Now it’s about what’s in “fashion” in life, and perhaps what’s a little out of fashion too.
I have big plans for TFJ if I can keep it all together. Video blogging, more reviews, content that is posted regularly and perhaps a little online store in the many months to come. So stick around, get in touch if you have any great ideas and get excited for what’s to come!
Product reviews are a big part of TFJ with both fashion and beauty products being reviewed often. My reviews come from personal experiences of trying out the products rather than a regurgitation of press releases. I attempt to be honest without offending or favouring and mean no disrespect to any of the brands or products that I review. For more information on my product reviews please see my Disclosure Policy. If you wish to get in touch about product reviews please contact me at email@example.com
